Grandma’s Whole Wheat Pancakes

2 cups whole wheat flour

4 tablespoons raw sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 1/3 cups milk of choice

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.

  2. In another bowl, mix applesauce, vanilla, milk, oil, and add all at once to flour mixture.

  3. Stir until blended but lumpy.

  4. Bake on hot, greased skillet with drizzled olive oil. You can dab it with a paper towel to make sure it's not too much to where you can taste it.

  5. Enjoy!
