The Only Hope For Tomorrow

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5:14-16‬

During this time of, what some would say is extreme, solidarity one can only wonder, How can a “good” God allow such awful things to take place and be so out of every human’s control? The inability to control tomorrow is what seems to be another overwhelming factor that comes into play! Accompany that lack of control with the overload of incurable illnesses in this world to give what seems to be pure evil. Let’s not become angry at the virus or disease, but step back and take another look. Each and every person was given a gift, not of being able to control the future, but to bless those IN one’s future with the gift given.

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans‬ ‭12:21‬

God has not intended anyone to be in control of any trial or circumstance that has come one’s way, let alone fix the problem. This need for control that a human possesses is a burden taken on oneself, not given by God. Instead of doing what is natural, worrying about the health and wellbeing of tomorrow, PURE GOLD encourages you to challenge yourself to be a light of encouragement during this time of emergency and pandemonium. Use the gifts you have to be a blessing to someone and rely on God to take care of the rest.

Easier said than done, right? How does one even begin to do that? Having a relationship with the one true God is how one acquires a peace that passeth all understanding.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ‭‭Philippians‬ 4:7

Cliche, right? Rely on God and one will somehow be able to calm down and not worry?! Quite frankly, yes! God is not a God of war or hate, but of love and grace. Trials are given in life to grow one’s faith in God and produce something good that one might not even realize could happen. Death is something no human can fully grasp or comprehend. But seeking God in salvation by believing that He died for YOUR sins and rose again on the third day is the first step to eternal peace. From there, learning more about God through reading the Bible and building a relationship with Him is the path to attaining more of an understanding of God’s will in YOUR life, even the trials you face!

There is good to come, there is a rainbow in the future, a promise of tomorrow! Even though the emergency light is flashing, know that we, as christians, are the light of the world and can look to the light that will always be shining in a crisis, Jesus Christ. Focus on the hope of tomorrow and don’t let this evil overcome you! Overcome this evil with the good of your God given gifts to bless others! Let’s go bless this world with good! 🤍✝️🤍
